No More Crying Over Spilled Milk

I know you've heard the saying, " No more crying over spilled milk..." If I can be honest I've cried over more spilled milk than a little bit, but I made a decision that I will NOT cry over pointless things anymore, because I am resting in the promises of God for my life, and I want you to do the exact same thing.

Lets be honest, if you are living in this world, you will cry. Some of those tears will come from happiness, joy, sadness, grief, etc. Ladies it's absolutely normal to cry, you're human, you have feelings, you're subject to your emotions, and it's more than okay. BUT that's not what this blog is about..

Life happens, I know. I. AM. A. LIVING. WITNESS...

The moral of this story is to get you understand that your time is so precious, and how many of us can look back on situations and honestly say, " I spent wayyyy to much time dwelling on that.." Now I'm not one of those, who believe that you have to let something go overnight, because I am a firm believer that healing takes time, however certain things we dwell on, aren't worth it. Okay let's talk...

So you find yourself trying to figure this thing called life out huh? And to be honest you cant seem to move on from your past.. Maybe you grew up in a single parent home, maybe you dropped out of school, maybe your first love crushed your heart, or maybe you just feel like God is so far from you, sis it's time to pick up the pieces and move forward. I was once that young lady that cried over spilled milk, constantly being a victim of my own circumstances because I was hopeless. I allowed myself to believe that my life served no purpose, and that I was just merely existing and not living, little did I know that God was shaping my entire life, even when I was crying over who left my life, what I did wrong, who was talking about me, why I wasn't in a different tax bracket, and why I hadn't fulfilled my purpose yet. I just couldn't wrap my mind around anything at that particular time in my life. One particular day I was listening to my favorite worship song, and something instantly clicked, " It's time to let it go." Something came over me, and I knew it was nothing but God.

He was saying," Listen daughter, I'm here for you, I've always been here. I never left, even when you drifted apart from me, I was still right by your side waiting for you to return. When you put people and things before me, I didn't count you out. When you cared more about who I had to remove, because they didn't serve your life purpose, and I had to protect you from them. How about the time when I allowed that job to take you through trials and tribulations to help you mature and grow because I was getting ready to open a greater door, but you was too busy worrying about the people and the test. Oh yea lets talk about the time you decided to date outside my will, and your heart was shattered, because you had to do things your way, but I wanted you to wait because the one I designed for you, is tailor made just for you, and will treat you like I desire for my daughters to be treated, that's why I wanted you to seek me, and focus on your purpose because I knew you wasn't ready. Oh daughter, let's talk about how I called you to be the leader in your family, so therefore you had to endure a lot of more pain, but all you did was complain, but it was serving purpose for your destiny, but you just couldn't see that. Lets make this the year that you just trust me,completely,I got you, I love you, it's all working together for your good, can you focus on me?

Together we are making the declaration that, " I will not cry over spilled milk." It happened, I can't change it, God allowed it to better me, therefore I'm moving forward. God has great plans for you, but you have to believe it enough to trust him and move forward.
